Task: design poster for Aida
Aida is an opera in four acts by Giuseppe Verdi. Set in Egypt, it was commissioned by and first performed at Cairo’s Khedivial Opera House on 24 December 1871. The Slovene National Theatre artistic director Benjamin Pionnier wanted to try some new approaches in the visual communication. By choosing a water as the “leitmotif” for seasson 2013, we tried to use it in different ways and forms (frozen, liquid, gas, …). Presented are posters soaked in the water.
